Well, click bait is just plain stupid. It might generate a ton of page clicks and views, but in the long term, all you get is a shit ton of Russians trying to hack your site. (Not like that can happen with a properly secure blog, but it is an annoyance seeing 1500+ views, but getting nothing from it.)

Anyway, I like to make articles with click bait titles proclaiming to hate click bait (hey, it works!), but only because some cynical hipster looking to make fun of popular culture by mocking it.
